The Lavender Lacemakers
The Lavender Lacemakers of Dersingham meet every week socialising and making lace. Every year for the past fourteen years they have chosen a different charity to support by making lace items and selling it. The charity runs for a year then the money made is put in the bank until it’s time to present to the chosen charity. Making a piece of lace and putting a price on it can be hard as each piece takes quite a few hours to make, but is very satisfying when completed and taken off the pillow. This year, the chosen charity fell to West Norfolk Carers.
A few of the young carers got to see the intricate pieces created by talented lacemakers and marvelled at the impressive skill.
A massive thank you goes out from WNC to the Lavender Lacemakers for their time and donation to our charity.
